OK folks, I'm an LA Uber driver (for 2+years) exploring a move to Vegas. As you can imagine, the cost-of-living here is insane so we're looking for a price break in Sin City. My averages running majority X/Pool in the LA Metro work out to this:

* $800-$1000 a week gross
* 50+ hours
* $200 a day, sometimes more on the weekends.
* Usual daily shift is 10-12 hours.

The question for me is due to the limited area of the Vegas metro, are those kind of numbers even possible? Is Uber running any fare count bonuses in Vegas like they are here? Apologies in advance if this is an "asked and answered" type thread, I'm just trying to get a sense of the market there.

Yes it's possible with working those hours.
Huh? Driving Uber X? I don't think so.

Most Uber X drivers here AVERAGE $10-$12 an hour.
50 hours = $500-$600 in NET fares.
They don't run incentives here like they do in LA. Or should I say not as often and definitely not regularly.

I received what I consider to be an inappropriate PM from SibeRescueBrian on April 8, 2017.
Because of that PM, this comment is currently under edit.

I think he's saying he achieves that with XL/Select only.

Absolutely correct, $10-$12 per hour gross if you hustle. LV has too many rideshare drivers for the limited landscape that is completely unlike southern California. Driving on the strip will make the 405 look like Disneyland, and you'll average 2 minimum payouts ($3.75) per hour when its busy. The occasional surge on the strip will be around 1.3x, but it will take twice the time to get around because LV has millions of cabs and rideshare drivers.

I guarantee you will be sorry for moving here if you depend on ride-share for primary income. It will be the worst career move you've ever made.
Ride-share is secondary income, even though it takes up more and more of my work week. Thanks for the info.

Driving X only, $14.50/hr from Uber fares alone. This doesn't include cash tips, which can vary. When I factor in cash tips my hourly averages varies from $16-$20/hr.

During this week shown below I did two 12 hour days, Mon and Thu, as you can see I hit $200 in a day just off Uber fares alone.

So, once again. I never said it can't be done. Everyone has those weeks every now and then ESPECIALLY if you been driving less than 3 months. But on AVERAGE (average being the key word) most UBER X (uber x being another key phrase) most Uber X drivers are making $10-$12 an hour.

Glad I'm not in the most category.

So far today, going back out as soon as I'm done with dinner.

I've been averaging about $16-$18 per hour gross excluding the little peanuts thrown at me one might call tips. I only drive in the evening. Some nights are better than others, but the $16-$18 seems a pretty solid average. I did $174 tonight in 7 hours, which was a really good day for me, bookended with a $43 surge multi-stop fare to start and a $40 surge multi-stop fare to finish.

Steve, how do you get your lyft account to be plus only?
No plus only, you need to be premiere also, then you can set it for premium rides only. From Lyft, I only get Plus and Premium, it's OK, but when primetime is 100%, I switch to all, except avoid Line. 100% prime time is 2X, which is close enough to Plus. Right now I'm only paying 20% commission on all lyft rides. Lyft seems more busy than uber lately.

I have a Premier car on lyft. If I go Premier only that will eliminate plus pings correct? I'm sorry I'm just not following. If I do Lyft Premier only option in the driver dashboard, so far I have only gotten Premier pings no plus.

If there is a way to get those plus pings would you share it with me?

Those numbers would not be a problem in Las Vegas. You have to take into account that rideshare is seasonal in Vegas. When it is moving... work more, when it is not... work less. Take into account no state income tax and a much lower sales tax and there is a 10% to 20% raise right off the bat.
