You will need to obtain a NT drivers licence first as you can only work in the state or territory that your license was issued. Once that's done it should be pretty straight forward.

I believe the rego plates in Darwin have to be registered for Uber, so the plate is the sticker, in a way.

Usually you need a licence for 12 months in a state first, some people wait for that to elapse before they can onboard. Best to check with Uber via the app to see what they recommend.
