As a side note, you might have noticed the SAT forum here is very sloooow.

Feel free to venture out into the wide world we call uberpeople dot net and post a thread in any of the main sections. This particular question would be good in the “Pay” section. :geek:

NOPE. Its all about the shareholders now. They flat out stated that incentives are going down (aka surge, trip bonuses, driver referrals) and I'm certain that rates will keep going down until they find the bottom, the point where people stop going online. Based on my experiences in SA, this seems to be about 25 cents a mile.

All they need to do is raise rates to make more money they don't need to reduce anything. People will still use Uber even if they raise rates. And if lift tries to undercut uber, then lift will have no drivers because drivers will work for uber only who will pay higher rates.
