Not useless, this is how they keep the lazy from staying at home and collecting unemployment. To get unemployment you have to say you looked for work, and didn't refuse any. If your acceptance rate isn't 100% they may be able to report you. if you don't work for one of these companies you could be at risk.

So why would they send this to me when I'm a hundred fifty miles away from Miami?

Useless.

Not every place is in gonna qualify for everything mentioned, it's a blanket email. Do you have Domino's near you? Do you have a 100% acceptance rate? Do you sign in and stay online? Or do you cherry pick? Because they're gonna make you accept every ride request and drive for Domino's before they give you that 600 bucks.

That $600 bonus every week for four months has absolutely nothing to do with a regular unemployment insurance payment.

As far as the regular payments of about $250 for Florida, yes maybe correct on that, the $600 is a stimulus package for work already lost and continued loss.

Even if I delivered for Domino's Pizza, in no way it would match the amount of money I would make during the high season in March and April here in Southwest Florida.

If your regular unemployment amount is $250 a week then once you earn over that they take away the $600 too. Uber/Lyft and the state and federal governments Are going to do everything they can to make you work So that they don't have to pay you welfare. I was expecting something like this from over and this just confirms it, they're going to make every driver accountable now that they've released all your information.

Youre off your rocker dude!
Leave it up to a Uber driver to spread false information. As if the country has the time or resources to investigate every rideshare driver in every city and determine if tjere was even enough rides to bother trying to take one. Stupid, Idiotic fearmongering!
We dont need you and your unsubstantiated opinion.

I don't have time to argue with every uber driver on this site. I gave you the truth, I dealt with unemployment before, I know how it works. And I guarantee they don't want people, especially people who didn't pay into the system, leeching off the system. Especially as the need for drivers goes up in the next few months.

Why would Uber gives up

Why would Uber even give a rat's ass whether anybody collected unemployment insurance or not? They already know there is hardly any work for them to make a profit driving for Uber right now, you must be an uber shill.

Like I said as demand increases over the next few months before the 4 months is over they're gonna want you to work. There are employer incentives in the plan if I'm not mistaken that provide grants and loans to employers to keep their employees on the payroll and off unemployment. they're gonna make Uber keep as many people on the payroll as possible, probably by penalizing them for not keeping them on. Don't kill the messenger, I'm just saying it as I see it.

I never said they wouldn't be able to apply I never said they wouldn't get the $600. Your tiny brain isn't reading all the information. What I said was they're going to try and get you off the dole as soon as possible. Once it's busier and there is work you won't be able to say there isn't work and thus you won't get unemployment and you won't get the $600, you'll actually have to go out and earn your money at some point.

Trust me , the EDD doesn't have the time to check if you applied for a job. This is going to be a 3-4 month period, then things will ramp up. The form has a check off box, that's it.

Yea. Its just for the stimulus. They fought for giving it to us rather than the banks like they did last time. We all starved and the banks gave out bonuses to their Suits.
NOT THIS TIME. SOCIETY WILL GET THE MONEY AND SPREAD IT AROUND THE WAY ITS SUPPOSED TO.

Human laziness increases in direct proportion to how crappy the pay and treatment is for a given job.

Funny how executives justify grossly bloated salaries and bonuses by saying you need to pay better to incentivize their performance and attract top talent but say the complete opposite when it comes to everyone else.

Keep mainlining that Kool-Aid.

$600 a week is SUPPLEMENTAL income aid. It has nothing to do with having a job or unemployment. Even if EDD cuts you off you still get the $600 for up to 4 months.

You don't know jack shit and yet you're spewing wrong information and arguing with people.

You're incorrect.. the $600 is part of a stimulus, EDD is the paying mechanism.. it has been granted for a specific period of time

If you work a week, and make more than your benefit, you will not get the 600.
You're correct but that only applies to the regular unemployment benefits, the $600 supplemental is separate.

I'm not sure but I think in Florida it's around $250, if I work and make $250 or more I don't get that money, I will however get the $600 which is for lost wages that we all endured and will be enduring the next few months until the economy comes back online. What part don't you get?
