Looks like it's increasing $.20. Isn't that the .20 that's going to a special fund as part of legislation. I thought this wasn't supposed be able to be passed on to the passengers as part of the bill they passed!!!

If there is a 20 cent fee that Uber is supposed to pay the state of course it's going to be passed onto the passengers. Any business would do this, Uber isin't going to take a 20 cent loss on every ride.

It's the pax paying this not us. You guys need to stop *****ing.

The 20 cent increase for the booking fee and the 20 cent kick back to cab companys going into effect is just a coincidence. Really. Totally coincidental .

Uber is a for profit business. If lawmakers thought they would just pay the taxis and loose 20 cents a ride they were delusional. Of course the cost would be passed on to the passengers.

I assume very few pax will even notice?

Does any driver really expect any complaints about it this weekend?

No one said the drivers were paying for this. You need to work on your comprehension skills.
The title of the thread is more money for Uber like it's a complaint. It's not a money grab by uber they are just passing along the tax to consumers. I'm not saying Uber is perfect (they need a tipping option) but the constant complaining on this site gets old. And you're the one with reading comprehension issues who doesn't know how to read Ubers website to understand its insurance policy when passengers are in the car.

See, that's your lack of comprehension skills. It's not a complaint. The OP wasn't complaining. He was just pointing out a fact in his title and post. And the government did say, the fee mandated by the state, for each pax pickup, was not to be passed onto the pax. So, the OP raises a good point.

That is why they did a nationwide fee increase. This way they can claim that the increase was not because of the new tax and increase revenue across the board.
