The temptation to go back online around 6:45 AM and get a 3x plus surge request was there. But with no DFs and knowing my luck despite heavy traffic all over the place...cooler head had to prevail.
Just short of $80 on two trips in just under 60 minutes of online time.
Even if it didn't storm...Monday mornings are some of the best times to work.

I got the suck. $101 in 4 hours, not including deadhead time. When the rain was heaviest, I was on an ORD to Loop run. The I90 was so jacked, Google sent me down the 294 to the 290.

Only one ORD run and I feel bad for the guy, cause his flght cancelled just about 4 miles out. Offered to take him home, but he didn't go for it. Two surges on Eats today. One was IHOP. Didn't realize they participated. But the customer was a guy that usually orders from Subway. And they guy always comes to the door in just his boxers. What up wit dat?
I doing Consulting work and had to fly out of O'Hare today. It was much more packed then normal. Mother Day giving back to uber drivers.

You have to know how to drive at ORD. I did 3 runs this morning. I usually drive in the 3rd lane, fly by the morons in the first and second lanes and head straight to the end of T1 if you have United PAX. If still busy, use your horn and hand instructions to order some morons out ahead of you, then eat some curb and let your passenger out safely.
If you are going to T3, don't use the outer lanes. T2 is dead. If you cut in at T2, you will fly by everybody. The outer 2 lanes are worthless crap if you know how to drive.

The problem is than no one is looking what's ahead. Cadi limo rearended Lincoln limo. I did not see it.
Uber idiot hit the car behind me when all the lanes were standing still like 30 secs. His speed was at least 25 miles. Thanks that the lady driver kept a big distance from me and did not hit me in her turn. This is what i saw in 10 mins in ord. It was busy,it was surge.

This is why I stop, roll down a window, and start directing people out of my way. It's not like we can count on union city employees to direct traffic. It also helps that I have blindspot radar.

I'm definitely over posting (did stop drinking at 2!) re-watching FTWD and goofing off. Ain't enough money in Knox or tea in China get me off my fat black backside till midnight. I'll catch some last arriving sergie flights and servers perhaps a few freaks wee late at night. And if I can fight and find the reverse commute traffic I might hang out for a rare Tuesday morning rush. Likely not.
Again and again--you must have rested energy and alertness to be strong in this weather. Don't feel like working that hard.

I never got a trip back to the loop from ord between 5-9 am.

Coming out of ORD I once got a ping from one of the nearby hotels. Was 5am or shortly after. Ignored. Chances are it would be an airport pickup (pin moved outside the airport area then the pax calls) or a short ride back to the terminals. This was before airport pickups were legal.

It's a rare breed. Generally, it's got to be a United dropoff, and you have to bury yourself all the way to the curb, get blocked in, and linger to get a rematch.

Do you get any rides, or just no rides to the loop?
Maybe it's luck, or has something to do with coming in from the boonies, but i get rematched as soon as i complete a trip at ORD.
I turned down three of them Sunday evening, cause i just wanted to get back on the Adams, after dropping at American. Then two more at about 8 this morning. Sacrificed to the pit lizards...
