Most places seem to have made some changes to their packaging after complaints from customers. Popeyes uses plastic cups now finally and most places staple the bags or tie them up. Five guys is lagging behind as they still give you open paper bags that get soggy as hell and rip easily plus they leave it open.

Mom and pop places try to cut corners and don't use good containers it seems. Some Indian places just wrap everything in foil and it looks pretty bad. The driver always gets the blame if something is leaking once you give them the food.

What do you guys run in to?

Curries from Thai joints sometimes leak but thankfully I haven't run into too many issues. If something is leaking or if the bag is super greasy (ahem Five Guys) I always apologise to the customer when I'm handing them the food "oh, it looks like the restaurant didn't package your food very well! I'm so sorry, please be careful and be sure to call the restaurant if there are any issues. The comments in app are only for the driver, so the restaurant won't see that!" (I use a variation on the same when delivering from a restaurant who is known to screw up orders)

We have a smoothie place that uses the dome lids and then fills the cup above the lid line through the hole in the top. One popped off as i placed it in my cars cup holder. Berry smoothie 1, car interior 0.

It was bad last year, but I Haven't had many issues in awhile. Seems like most restaurants are investing in those sealing containers.

The only restaurants I still occasionally have issues with are Italian joints. They are usually the source of everything wrong with delivery: long waits, leaky packages, rude staff.

There’s a local Thai place that’s known for Thai teas. Their teas are pepto pink. Once had an order with 5 of them. 4 ¼ of the drinks made it. I did my best, but thank goodness I have weathertech or else my carpet of would have been ruined.

Last time I was there I asked if they could start wrapping them in plastic bags or something. Lady said “bags ten cents each”

You can ask Five Guys to put the paper bag inside a plastic bag and they'll do it.
