To further strengthen the security perimeter around Miami International Airport, the Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) will permanently re-direct unauthorized traffic at the airport's Perimeter Road entrance and exit to alternate routes beginning Tuesday, April 3, at 10 a.m.

That's a good change from a security standpoint; I'm surprised they didn't do it years ago. It's going to radically reduce traffic on Perimeter Road and increase traffic on 836 eastbound and LeJuene.

I saw that coming. Was the alternate to escape 836 traffic.. but was getting congested also. And the perimeter is for airport traffic only (the signs are there warning it). I think it's okay.
