Didn't start the day with a full tank and near the day's end I bought some at $3.69. I've grown used to $3.37 + 4% back at Costco.

I passed a Chevron and Mobil on Palomar Airport near I-5. Both had regular for $4.29. A little shocking since I still haven't seen anything over $4.00. On the third corner was honest old 7/11 for $3.79 I think.

Memorial Day + Costco gas closed a block away = Collusion and Gouging

I'd imagine they lower their price tomorow.

Gas is on it's way up. Oil is going down, according to a CNN Money article that popped up in my feed today.

Sure, there are trends and it's going up for the summer and in general. I know there's a little uptick for holidays as well. But a 50 cent premium over the opposite corner is rarely seen. It's a 92 cent increase of what I paid just two days prior.

I'm guessing I can still get sub $3.50 gas tomorrow. Maybe not.

I got $3.47 today but that was the purchase of a $6.00 carwash. I saw $3.49 at some intersection today where the 2 stations were having a neighborhood price war. I think it was in Nasty City somewhere. Lowest everywhere else was $3.55/3.59.
