I recently started driving Uber Eats in the west suburbs. My car is too small to take passengers, and for just extra cash during my off tine it hasnt beeb to bad.

so. For the most part I ignore McDonalds, but if I happen to be within 5 minutes of the place Ill go ahead and grab it.
Out of 6 McDonalds orders... I've had three that have been undeliverable - One there was nobody home apparently, one that used the address of the Glen Ellyn fire department but they insisted no one ordered. Tonight... the delivery address was identical to the McDonalds.

I guess free food and still making a few bucks is ok... but what gives? A 50% undeliverability seems rather... strange.

Keep me updated as far as Eats only in that area. When I'm logged on to Eats I always get requests on Roosevelt in Wheaton and Glen Ellyn. Fortunately I know where the McDonald's are so I pass on half of them. The non McDonald's orders in that area tend to tip.

orderers are drunk or high on weed and can't navigate the app. just a guess.

we've all been there.
Fair enough. But, and not speaking from personal experience or anything, if I were to order while in such a state of mind, I'd be so excited about the food I'd watch the app closely as my food inches closer on the GPS xD

So far I enjoy it. By no means is it my primary income, but when I log in I tend to average about $12/hr.
And about half that time is sitting at home shooting the breeze with my fiance.

What does surprise me though is that while the majority of restaurants Ive only been to once, there are a small handful of restaurants that keep me the busiest. Wilfire and Old Town Pour House in Oakbrook, Sals Pizza on 22nd/Finley in Lombard, and Warren's Ale House in Wheaton. I'll frequently get multiple orders at a time from them, and the tips are usually decent.
