Personally, I believe that UBER and LYFT should institute a mandatory 15% tip on all rides, and that money go directly to the drivers that are risking their health by being an 'essential service.' (AND I say this as someone who is NOT driving, because it is NOT worth it to me, but I'm not a full timer with a vehicle lease).
This is not price gouging. This is like a restaurant putting Gratuity Charge on large parties, due to the extra work involved under that particular circumstance.
Drivers paying to sanitize their car and make the ride safe for themselves and their riders should be accounted for.

(Recently I brought this up with the powers that be at LYFT-CANADA.)

Thoughts?

Can the powers that be at Lyft even communicate from their bunkers?

I think a good starting place for Lyft would be to stop skimming so much off rides in the first place....Tips can come up after.
I had a conference call with three LYFT Canada Staffers yesterday, including a Data Analytics Guy.
I can pass that suggestion along.

There is also this form, which you can use any time to amplify and add your voice to the LYFT mothership: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSex_FhgMrrFs8VFqpCx4XQ26SnIRmb3IC76t9BbgbPe3sS_mg/viewform

ALL: I encourage EVERYONE to use this. The more voices the more there is a chance that LYFT Canada or LYFT-MotherCorp will listen. (Or you can continue to ***** and moan and do nothing, as you were...)

why are you not a LYFT driver? sure it's trash but it doesn't cost you additional money to join. Once in a while they send good pings.
I was when they started here, but I'm not a fan of running 2 apps at the same time and mostly their pings are a travelling distance to pick up !
Plus what you mentioned above.
If Uber ever terminated me 😐 I'll go back to Pinky.
If they both survived the current starting crisis.

I am No LYFT driver.

And yes tipping should be A MUST, as long as you can afford it.
I have to disagree on one point here, pretty sure not everyone will agree with me, but it shouldn't be as long as you can afford it. If you can't afford it, you shouldn't use it.
Problem with $? Shouldn't use Rideshare, take a bus. You will have more problems with $ after.
Problem with $? Shouldn't use delivery service, cook or get a frozen meal. You will have more problems with $ after.

How can you pass it along if you had a conference call yesterday?
