I've never had that happen on Uber but Lyft often just adds a ride to your queue. If the added ride is too far away or a Line ride I usually just go online with Uber and start driving away until the Lyft rider gets the idea and cancels. Lyft has sent me a few notices in the app reminding me to drive towards the pickup location, however.

You have been an Uber driver since 2014, still does not know how to stop additional requests..my guess is you drive at base rate a lot.. nice
Yeah; it's one thing to have to go back in and stop additional requests for pool rides but if you have to do it for every ride, that will be a P.I.T.A. That's like having to take a screen shot of every request to make sure they pay the surge. It may be a good idea but not very practical.
