Some people think they are invincible. Speeding like a nascar driver probably trying to show off (drinking contributed obviously) and bam. Many lives changed in less than a second.

Not to speak ill of the dead but she also deserves blame for being in that car. You make the choice of ridding with a drunk driver, you have to accept the consequences. Luckily they didn't go crashing into another car and killing innocents. That would have been a greater tragedy.
