I register my Uber account in Oct 2018 but did not decide to start driving until mid March 2019. I discovered my account was hacked and someone in Brooklyn NYC was driving under my name/account. It took weeks to straighten out and I was cleared to drive. After about 3-4 weeks I earned $1,300 but can’t cash out even though my bank info is correct. Uber has told me 3-4 times to check my account info, I have each time and it is correct. There is no way to access my money not even w/their debit card. I am now going to court to get my money. I believe Uber has no interest in helping me and playing the odds that I won’t get an attorney. Tomorrow the demand for payment letter goes out followed by the attorney through the monthly service I am paying for. Bad company.

I am thinking, compel them to pay him?
Did they opt out of binding arbitration?

Judge give you a judgement and court costs. Great, now what? I've sued plenty of people in small claims court and after the 3rd one I realized its a complete waste of time.

You also have to realize that if you do win in small claims, the defendant can appeal to 'real' court and that means its simply a game of who runs out of money faster. Tip: its not Uber.

I seriously doubt they would appeal over the amount in contest.
