I received a ride request and was on a one-way street when I got it. I had to go a block to make a U-turn to go back to the destination. Lift in its infinite wisdom thought I wasn’t following their GPS coordinates and canceled my trip. When I complain to them they first said it was a communication problem with the platform. Then they said they canceled on me because I was going the wrong way. Either way I was penalized for something I had no control over and they should be aware of my location and the steps it would take to arrive. Done with them – lesser of two evils is Uber- at least you don’t receive cancellations for nothing.

Drivers head the opposite way in order to get the pax to cancel. Sometimes they even collect a fee.

I had this happen to me today because by the time the ride request popped up, I was past the closest exit on the interstate. Cost me a $6 bonus, but I continued to the hotel and picked up 2 people at the same location with a $5 tip.
