They are ripping off pax hardcore, I can tell since I had so many pings from Fuber this morning, which is very unusual for the area I work.
So they charge + % to pax and gives us + chump change.

All these companies are same old mapping technology repackaged as modern day slavery. **** em... just look at their stock...

Shlyft probably realized that they were losing a lot of money without getting any benefits after spending lot of cash on subsidizing rides for pax recently to fight against fuber prices to attract more pax and increase their UR but you know pax is loyal to no one and they always take the cheapest offers possible. Shlyft run out of cash and now they trying to take money back from pax. Pax honeymoon is over lol fuber scored another point against shlyft.

They add a dollar surge, flat dollars for instance:

$23.15 for fares in the zone and like $15.50 for fares in the secondary zone outside of the first zone.

Fares from within the zone get you the $23.15 fares outside that zone but in the secondary zone get you $15.50.

So I had a $10 actual fare with like $23.15 stacked on top. ($33.15)

It tells you outright what the surge should/will be with their new version of surge.

I won't complain as of this mornings fares...

*edit* I actually think this is far superior as it is not contingent on length of ride.

*2nd edit* I don't see how they can sustain this.

You know for sure they gonna lower it as they did with everything else! Your might get $20 now but it will be $2 in the very near future

$23.15? where? in Manhattan? Highest I've seen in Brooklyn was $3.15

Personal Power Zones are a cash grab by Lyft pure and simple. The yellow/orange is "High Demand Areas" but NOT PT.

They charge riders PT:

Lyft is dead to me except for Shuffling Shared and the occasional 45+ minute notification trips that I can **** Lyft over on by Longhauling.
