I'm sure no one noticed the few pennies adjustment Lyft recently made. Riders used to pay:
Min $3.85 Base $0.97 Per Mile $0.85 Per Minute $0.17
New Rates are:
Min $3.85 Base $1.01 Per Mile $0.88 Per Minute $0.18
I guess we'll be getting a pay cut soon?!

Since when do those rates have anything to do with what Uber or Lyft charge passengers? They both charge what they can get away with.

I get what you're saying but that's straight from the rider app... meaning they are going to charge people more per ride and not pay us any extra. Lyft is worse than Uber with its Primetime. Got a request last night from far away, cancelled. All of a sudden a $15 PPZ appears where the request came from. Had I taken the first ride I would have got $0, ended up getting over $16 PPZ for next rider

That's true. But with this fare increase for riders, coronavirus, global warming, and everything else that's going on, it is better for the community if we all pitch in and work for a little less.

lol @JimKE it's not happening. I took a ride as a pax 2 nights ago, driver was brand new, his profile said just 1 month and already had 1,800 trips...how is that possible
Dedication. It's a beautiful thing.

Either that or there are several people using the account and the car is running 24/7.

I know that's theoretically impossible with Lyft, but I've also seen examples of tgeir tech ssd's kills.

It's possible a Lyft driver account runs 24/7. Lyft never asks you for a driver selfie nor has a 12 hour driving time out that I know.

Remember, Uber only goes to the next month on the anniversary date. So it's possible he's driven 1.99 months. 900 rides A month. 30 a day every day. It's possible

Lyft times you out after 14 hours of being online, regardless of if you were moving or not. I have got up at 5 AM and turned on the Lyft app and have timed at 7 PM that evening. Never once receiving a ping or leaving my house.

This actually changed in Feb 2020. We are now limited to 12 hours online.
Well that sucks, I have not been running much Lyft, kind of a self experiment. Guess I missed the notice from them, or did they just start it with no notification?
