Probably slow server update.

Also you know that if you open up that screen your position in queue does not move. drivers have to close and reopen that earnings page to see whether or not their line in queue has moved.

All in all the queue system is wonky. I arrived at the geofenced area, turned driver mode on, and checked the queue. I was 40+ in line so I figured it was going to be a long wait. Within 30 seconds I got a pickup request.

Went back after dropping one off around 12 and queue was down to 16 at this time of night. I got a request within a minute. Picked up the pax and she said it took her 40 minutes to get paired with a driver.

Pretty sure I know what's going on at LAX. Drivers are skipping all requests and I'm getting paired with these pax. Probably they are trying to game the system to up the PT rate. This is why Lyft won't show PT rate to us.

slow server update my posterior, we both spent HOURS on #1

And one of those hours the guy was in my passenger seat cause I had to idle to charge up (annoying bimmer incinvenience) and might as well run AC while at it

I got timed out by 14h wait STILL @ #1 and he's still waiting for ping,

At least yesterday when ut kicked me off his # increased, after which he received $69 of Keith the Mormon and $10 more in a Mormon brochure (shoulda been MY keith but hey at least queue moved, #1 disappeared #2 moved up & got a client soon). And my guy was also $70 and didnt take all day to get, only ended uo in oen to skip morning traffic after crazy night working

This morning I got my $42 ping, sure, but at a whopping ****430**** minutes in pen - and it shoulda been $15 but the guy changedd destination

And then after allcthis waiting it starts counting me down FAST on next entry, so i sit tight - spend like 4-5 hours at "#1" andget logged off

Except i never WAS #1 - the other dude HAD a ping that cancelled him 30 seconds later, but I got nothing. Not at any point!!!!

First, you've been waiting for 214 minutes? What kind of fare are you expecting?

Anyway, My understanding is that most airports do not allow PT or surge pricing.

You have NO understanding.

1) LAX pt's like a mother.
2) There is no hope involved. New market research / experiment.. + comparing to others stats and gathering chatter and rumors.
2) 214 minute queues would be a dream come true... try 430 minutes at ping.

OR

...538 min and counting :-/

Nah, man. Totally cool with that. Hope it's working for you. It's similar to what we had here before the rates dropped. Folks would wait 6 hours hoping for the elusive $90. Why get lots of drives and put miles on your car if you can make $100 with just two trips?

Nah this stuff is a joke.

I'd just seen 150-class stuff last weekend (ended up kicking out and filing puke fee instead)

Actually if not for Lyfts RIDiCULOUS "14h driving" (13h napping more like) timeout it mightve been quote sensible for out of county drivers - drop somebody off at LAX, go premier only, and go sleep on Jenny
