I got a text over the weekend from Lyft saying they were offering 1/2 off to passengers. Does anyone know if this impacted Uber X business this weekend and/or increased Lyft's business. Seems to me like a desperate attempt by Lyft....

Its only on Monday rides and nope....had Lyft app on for 1hr no pings. There is a shit ton of Lyft drivers too. Unless you are very close you won't get pax ping.

I missed it last Mon and figured I give it a try this Mon. Had the app on for 40 min in Eagle Rock. Nothingm. Traveled to Silver lake. Another 40 min. again, nothing. Just when home since I wasn't in the mood to do 80 cent runs for Guber with the sun shinning in my face.

By the amount of pings I skipped and the distance, I doubt it had any affect.
Most people don't jump services.

Two out of three Lyft riders I had today knew it was half off day. One said he normally took Uber, but called Lyft because of the deal.

I doubt it took much business from Uber. The pings came consistently for me.
