Of course they are. Remember when lyft drivers were drinking the ride share kool-aid and going on about how much the partners were valued on that platform?

I knew once they got a certain amount of drivers on the bandwagon they'd start cutting the rate of fairs. There will be more cuts to come.

At least they have the tip option...I'll give them that. But they don't care about their drivers any more than uber does.

Given the lack of clarity in their first note, I reached out to support and asked them for more clarification as to what to expect for changes in rates this Monday... This was their response:

The fool that writes "you can expect more rides in return" is a fool's fool and should be fired for not having a basic understanding of business, time and distance. That the same language Uber uses every time they lowered rates.

They did the same thing in Blacksburg VA a few months ago. After a few weeks they raised the UberX rate back up to $1.35 per mile. The idea that lower rates would lead to more rides could not be correlated.

Quite frankly both companies are effed up beyond measure. It's only a matter of time before their poor management and low business acumen ends up destroying the platform they created.
