I got an email talking about the lyft hertz partnership starting in LA. I decided to request more info because I was curious. They say it starts at $180 per week which is already really high to begin with. So I assume it's going to be a high end car or SUV. NOPE. It's a typical mid sized car like a Ford Focus, etc. Also, they said its $180 per week PLUS tax. That's like $800 a month. Seems very sketchy. Who in their right mind would do this? I can understand leasing a car if it's brand new for like $150 a week MAXIMUM but $200 a week for a mediocre car that's not even a lease, and isn't even new? Not only that but they don't even tell you what type of car it will be until you go into the office. I had to email them multiple times asking what types of cars.

Why can't they do a similar deal to the GM partnership in Chicago where they lease you an SUV for $99 a week, and then it's free if you do a lot of trips? That deal seems 90 billion times better.

I'll stick with my 2015 civic lease with unlimited mileage for now until I find something better. This is clearly not it.

If you do 75 rides a week isn't it free ? But eventually it's going to cost something either way cause they're not making money
No, I thought that too at first. That's just the GM partnership. But that isn't available here. Just in Chicago and a couple other places. That's why I was kind of stoked at first but it wasn't the case.
