What is up with Lyft Client ratings nearly always being a 5.0? I guess Lyft wants its drivers to pick-up every request and doesn't want to expose clients with less than desirable ratings. I do like the fact you can go back after awhile and change a clients rating but it really doesn't seem to matter as they all end up with a 5.0.

Lyft for sure hides pax ratings. I have ignored pings before with a pic that's a 5 and a minute later they ping again because they wanted a closer driver and it's like a 3.9 or something like that. Pretty sure uber does the same. I have had 5* that I ignore and the same house pings again a minute later with much lower. Why it doesnt hide it on the second ping who knows. The same goes for drivers. I have a few people I drive on the reg and everytime it shows me as a 5* driver on both platforms but i definitely am not. I think they just want less pax cancels for a low rating and less driver declines because of rating.

Uber/Lyft are trying to slowly take away any advantage a driver has before we take a request. Last year they got rid of showing us the address of the ping to just a pin dot on a map. Taking away a riders rating is also an advantage to am experienced driver. They want all drivers to except every request so there slowly getting rid of everything that gives us indications of a good ride.

I wont be surprised if both Uber/Lyft go away with requests all together and just auto assign us rides for us.

Good drivers mess up running a smooth platform because letting requests go makes for longer pickups and unhappy riders. They want all drivers to be like robots and not use their brains. Pathetic.

You are soooo right! The day will come when they won't even show if it's a dirt cheap express pool. And to that I say F them.
