Listen up fellow driver. You should find comfort in the fact that feces are rolling down hill. Lyft is arrogant or naive enough to think they can treat drivers awful without it impacting the customer's experience. Yelp's reviews tell the whole story. Rarely a 5 star review of over 700. It's a business. Drivers don't care about pax and pax don't care about drivers. Next.

This is not lyft being slimy, this is other drivers being slimy and dishonest. Not tak8ng a short ride is as much of a breach of contract as anything drivers accuse lyft of doing. In the yelp review given this one driver makes us all look bad. Any issues we have with lyft need to be kept between drivers and lyft, pax should not get caught in the middle.
If you hate lyft so much you don't want to do your job quit, I will be glad to take all your rides (short and long).

Well when lyft actively tries to screw you. You have to fight back 25 min away pings when you are in the heart of sf. Base rate pings in the heart of surge. If you want their bonus you need 90% acceptance. So they force you to pull shit! Sucks for the customer, but that is what lyft has set up.

Its also why i don't go for their bonus. But plenty do.

I hate that. Sitting in the heart of Dark Pink and every ping you get is 15 mins outside the PT zone. I wave off about 4-5 rides until I get a PT 75 or 50 min

While you are technically correct about Lyft & Driver confidentiality; in terms of Lyft's perpetual and non-stop manipulation of every aspect of their platform; they are ineligible for that level of civility. As you can see, they (Lyft) are amoral. They don't respond to Yelp reviews because they are guilty of what they are accused of. Let me tell you about "slimy" drivers, I dont condone it; but can you blame them for what they do? Hell no! Lyft's hands are filthy in this game! Any driver who fails to constantly remind themselves that Lyft could care less about them, is headed for a serious train/car wreck!

SF had a late season storm roll in on a Friday afternoon. Perfect timing for surge. Lyft was sending me 150 and 200% primetime 15 minutes away on the Embarcadero. Each time the pax would cancel within 2 mins and I got nothing, went on for 2 or 3 requests and I turned off the app. Also was running uber- they simultaneously sent me a few turds - no thanks - then started sending reasonable requests. Made $115 in 3 hours with 10 trips including a pool ride, stayed within the city and drive less than 30 miles. Lyft would have been nowhere close to $100. Their customers got hung out to dry due to their business plan.
