If everyone was smart and would actually stick together, we all sit in the lot with apps turned off until surge hits 2.0..we could keep it surging all day long.. unfortunately too many will not go along with it c
Good luck getting the mental midgets we know as MOST Uber drivers to follow suit, snowballs chance in hell :)

Doors play softly in the background, "this is the end" lmaoooooo

I'm surprised by those statements especially from you. I'm not waiting an hour for a $4 ride, or a $20 ride that takes me 2 hours from home, with very little chance of a return fare.

Quite the opposite...this is what a greedy "technology company" that cares little about it's "partners" profitability does.
This happens at every airport when the smart azzhats think they have gamed the system. What I saw yesterday morning was despicable. Every single car was empty "no pax" with lyft and uber decals. All rideshare drivers clogging the lanes into "C"... it's like a bunch of children that just want it their way... I just wanted to get in and drop but it was nearly impossible.

This is due to idiots driving that need to be reined in and treated like the spoiled children they act like. If you don't act like that this isn't directed to you. You should be upset with those that screwed the rest.

It was just a matter of time before a serious accident occurred. Live and learn people. Just like anything in life that's too good to be true.

No destination filters in queues.... If you get a short ride you'll be at the end of the line if it takes you off of airport property just like PHL....

I don't make the rules I'm just responding to your query.

The good thing is they mention laws and seem to be enforcing no TLC p2p

UberwhoIaM. I hate the scene at EWR as much as the next guy. Saw extremely dangerous behavior there every time.

It just baffles me why the "no destination filter in queue" rule exists. I would think DF would work better in a queue with hundreds of drivers just sitting there, than it would with them scattered across the map.

I just looked at the map it looks like Uber and lyfts lot is different Uber is using a lot that says rideshare lot a little bit away from the lot that Lyft said go to lot f if that is the case we can't stay online on both apps at once

I think a rough DF exists. NY drivers will get only NY bound rides, PA riders logically will get PA bound rides. It is bad that we cannot fine-tune our DFs. I hope that will change soon.
By the way, how does the PHL Q works - do NJ drivers get only NJ bound rides, or it could be a random ride?

What does it matter at this point, thousands of zombies working for the low rate anyway, might as well group these idiots in a parking lot and stop the heavy traffic they cause at the airport. There are no surges at EWR anymore you might get lucky at 2.00AM or it might pop up randomly due to delays the days of the night surges are over. If Jersey would enforce the Law like New York then we can get NY Drivers the hell out of our territory they are not even suppose to be picking up in Jersey anyway.

I have never and will never head to the airport with an empty car just to ant out in the lot for hours praying for a decent ride. I have gone empty to PHL to eat lunch, get gas, and or use the bathroom at Wawa and wait in line while I'm at it if I happened to be in the neighborhood. If my card didn't get pulled by the time I finished and my number was anywhere north of 20 at the time I left.

The rematch thing is great though. In an average week, I drop off at PHL 5 times and nearly every time I immediately leave empty because I'm not beat waiting an hour plus for a $12 fare when I can make more than that in half an hour without waiting. When I work the airport crowd on purpose, I hit places more likely to give me EWR because I know I can DF back to my house and get a ride in my direction by lap 3. I really hope they introduce rematch at PHL too. Those of us that bring people to the airport should be able to leave immediately with a fare, prefereably back to where we came from. That would be fair to those of us that do work.

The Q will kill all surge. EWR is no longer going to be a good place to target. Those of you that worked surges there are going to have to adapt. Y'all just took a major pay cut.

I believe is same lot I pass there today In the morning and I'm looking apps now it seems same lot

Good question I was thinking same exact thing

If you sit in the lot with your app off, you will be considered trespassing and subject to ticketing. The lot is supposed to be for if you are in the queue, and if you're in the queue that means your app is on.
