I received an email from lyft, as well as a text via phone. Stating that I am not accepting a lot of rides, and encourage me to accept them all while online. To a matter of fact, it is bull crap in a way, because they have been sending me requests that are like 15kms away. I rejected all of them regardless. Only two of the close ones have been rejected because I was busy on the phone talking, and I couldn’t drive. To be honest, most of the lyft rides are like shorties, no more than 5km away in most of the situations. And I usually have to go more than 3km to get to them. And lyft riders, all of them have five star rating. I really think they shouldn’t be giving us ping outside 7km radius, because what happens if you drive 15 km for a ping, and surprise [email protected]@@@, 1.2km ride. I have driven 4km for <1.5 km rides for at least 10 times now. It is stupid. They should write in the program that if distance traveled to rider is greater than riders destination, then decline it. For that distance traveled and the platform is still taking a big percentage out of the pie is wrong, it is not a legit business practice. Basically in real life practice, if you can rob people without getting caught, it is legit. Or if the law has a hole, you can out play it to rob people, you are fine too. And all the politics and judges talk about justice and fairness. It’s all bull crap.
