Hi, so I may be the black sheep here, but my name is Ray Owings and I’m an Uber rider.

On Wednesday, 02/06 at approximately 3:30 pm to 3:36 pm, an Uber driver picked up a group of 3 passengers and a small service dog from the Red Iguana at 736 W North Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84116

It looks like the riders just absent mindedly grabbed my bag, a large hard-shell Revo suitcase with a black laptop bag on top with the letters SAP on the front.

It was a white Toyota van of some type. Attached is a fuzzy security cam photo of the car.

I’m really hoping someone here remembers making that pickup, because practically everything I own are in those bags.

Please let me know if anyone knows anything!

No, I’m a rider. I was eating at a restaurant in Salt Lake City, and some people eating at the restaurant accidentally loaded my suitcase into a white Toyota van with an Uber sticker on it.

I’ve contacted everyone I could from corporate, but no one has helped...so I’m trying here

Maybe it wasn't an accident and your stuff was stolen.
I really don't see any way for you to get your things back even if you find that van.
But you have no way to find that van.

Sorry about your things.

I believe it was an accident. There is video surveillance showing the rider helping them load up luggage, and video surveillance of the van, so what I'm hoping is that someone remembers making a pickup at that time, date, and place.

Or once the police report goes through, they'll just subpoena Uber and Lyft to see who made a pickup at that time.

It doesn't matter.
Like I said, even if you find the van and the driver, the riders probably took it.
If they didn't, he either tossed it, or maybe took it to police station as a lost item.

Even if he wants to get the items back to the right owner, he has no way to do so.

Your stuff is in a lake somewhere.

Be more careful with your things.

So, a fellow diner stole your property and the only relevance to this site is their means of escape? You can’t even be sure which platform they used, Uber, Lyft, Juno... etc.

Your post is the ultimate in grasping at straws. Quit apologizing for these thieves! “They accidentally took my case and laptop.” They robbed you man. Involve the fuzz immediately!

Update!
The bag was found. A rider and driver accidentally loaded it into their van, and the next day realized they had an extra suitcase with them.

All possessions are still in the suitcase and bag. Proof that their are good people who help rather than spread doom and gloom.

And for those saying I wasn't careful with my bag, the restaurant had a locker check for luggage, and there was a mistake with the tickets.
Here's the date and time when you began your street education.

It's a wonderful journey; embrace it.
I live in Atlanta son.

Words of wisdom, when traveling, never take your eyes off your stuff....
they didn't take it by mistake, they took it because they be thieves.

I am assuming they contacted the restaurant and the restaurant contacted you?
No, they called me direct. I leave a few business cards in my laptop back and on the front in a little slot that's visible.

As they were packing up for a ski day, they noticed the extra bag in the cabin and it clicked.

Where exactly is the fuzzy security cam footage you said you were going to post to show this really happened and isn't a fake story ?
I don't think the OP said he would/could post video, but just indicated that there was footage showing what happened. Do you really think someone would go to all the trouble to find and sign up to UPN just to post a fake story?

Given that the OP specifically stated they were posting video of this and didn't what do you think my answer to that question would be ?

Attached is a fuzzy security cam photo of the car.
