Hello everyone,

Thank you for such an awesome forum and the opportunity to share some of our stories driving for Uber. I am new to Uber and I would like to get to know all of my Philly fans!

I picked up some kids last night (4 of them) from Springfield to drop them off at the Chester Casino on Harrah's Blvd. When they were exiting my car, the last guy who left got his sandals caught on one of my seats; I didn't think of it much at the exact same moment because it was really late, I honestly didn't see it then.

This morning when I woke up, I saw that there was a tear on the side of the seat : The exact same spot where his foot got stuck - (Not big but noticeable // about one or two inches rip) and got pissed! I know that Uber have a policy about filing something within 3 days.

Here are my questions:

1) Should I file a: A rider damaged my vehicle claim and if so, would those kids be notified? I am afraid they'll leave me a bad review, especially that I just started Ubering and hoping to get more rides in.

2) Is there a chance/way I can block these kids from using my services?

Thank you so much and Happy Ubering!

1. Who cares? Let them one star you. File a claim. It will probably cost you more than the $150 you'll get to replace the seat.

2. I think uber blocks people you report damage claims against from riding with you again, but you can always file a "my rider was rude" claim and tell them they damaged your car and don't want them in your car again and they'll make it so you never will.

seats are hard to claim but take a good picture of it and submit it to see....they may ask to get written estimate..get one for like $150....reason to get something as to zero.
i had a drunk pax run to my car a few years ago full speed for no reason at xfinity live..he tripped and crushed my new car door.
i submitted it with a dent wizard est...as i knew they wont pay for a door....i threw them out of my car...
est like $160 paid me like $150 ruined my door , but i was able to have a good dent paintless guy do wonders with it

Now that I have been driving for Uber for more than a month, I kinda get how it works! Yes, they do block people from sending you requests if you complain about them! I did care for the reviews at first when I just started driving since I needed to get my OCD happy! - Uber wanted me to get a quote from an Auto shop for the repair cost and I honestly didn't feel like it and I just told them to let it Go! Thanks for all the help, It is much appreciated.

Buy some leather repair and take the claim up to $150
