Hey uber people. Long post so bear with me please. I frequent the forums often but don't really post or anything but after searching this forum, reddit and so on I haven't been able to fix my issue. I've seen some posts talk about it but no fix. Since last week I am not receiving any ride requests on uber. I drive uber x and lyft. Before you say it can be slow or check my documents, I know and my docs are fine. Uber support, if that's what you want to call it.. says all is fine and try different areas. Well after some investigating I figured out my car doesn't show up on the pax app period. Its completely invisible. Last week I had my app on for 14 hours with zero ride requests. Left my app on for hours downtown trying to get a single ping and nothing. Tried deleting, refreshing, clearing cache, turning off wifi, Bluetooth and whatever else to no avail. Uber support keeps giving me the same scripted bs and I'm about to lose my mind dealing with those imbeciles. Anyone else have this issue? If you did how did you fix it? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have access to another phone with a Rider app? Be careful about trying this in the house or the car... proximity may not work. But try to order a car on the rider app on a DIFFERENT phone and see what happens. Sometimes my car does not show up because the app can only show 8 cars in the area... BUT to hear that you spent 14 hours on line downtown and no requests is a bit odd.... are you close enough to for the app to show you the QUE at airport ? Drive to the TNC lot and see if you are entered into the QUE with a Que number inside the geo fence.....

Happened to me yesterday, third worst day in over a year, business has tanked after a few updates about 2 weeks ago. I updated again yesterday and I was online for maybe 18 hour and had 1 ride with 4.5 hours driving time. I only do premium rides, and opened up x/pool rides and it still took maybe an hour to get a x request.

I do however show up on the rider app.

The que is the one thing I haven't tried. I'll to give it a shot. I used a family members phone and account to try to request and find my car, even drove to a grocery store up the street to see if my car would appear. I've had my app on since 4:45 am this morning with not one ping yet... Still waiting.

Happened to me. Turns out my vehicle's body was made with the same material the Department of Defense uses on their stealth fighters, and navy vessels. I guess they sold it to Honda surplus or something. I had to buy another car. Crazy huh?

Well.... you cant always trust the " cars" on the rider app as discussed in other posts. But when your friend requested a ride what happened ? Did it connect to another driver and you had to cancel the ride quickly ?

Did you contact email or phone support? Email support is a complete waste of our time. All you ever get is cut and paste canned responses. Try phone support if you haven't.

I wonder if it's a location issue? I had a friend try to order a ride and his location in the rider app had him in south Dakota (his billing address) even though he was in downtown Denver.

Yeah, he canceled it. I'm aware of the cars not always being what they seem with the ghost cars and what not, but in 10 months of driving this has never happened. I've never had a problem getting trips and I could always see my car in the pax app. It's super frustrating.

It's the chat support. I'll just have to call them I guess. I don't believe it's a location issue. All my info is colorado. I live in Littleton so it shouldn't be an issue.

Robert O - you're not going to get any requests. If your car is not showing up on the passenger app the system is not detecting your car. Therefore no request will get sent to you. This is happened to me. I will say phone support did fix it but they did mix up my platforms when they reconnected my different platforms to my vehicle . Depending on how close you live to the hub and your schedule, you can try calling phone support or else go into the Hub. This won't fix itself. In my situation, I was told that my vehicles had been deactivated. Not my account. Just my vehicles. So I was able to go online and it appeared I was online but no request would have ever came through. I did this for about 2 or 3 days. Phone support had originally told me things were fine. As soon as I noticed I was not showing up on the passenger app, they did fix it.

Thanks for the info daisey. I'll have to go to the hub next week. Phone support said my background check was the issue. Uber told me for some reason even though checkr had ok'd and cleared it on the 26th uber is still supposedly "reviewing" it. I was told thats reason I can't get requests and they will let me know when they have reviewed it. Doesn't make sense to me since I can still go online. Sounds like they don't know and hope it'll fix itself. I also dont believe it is my vehicle because I added another car to check if that would work. Same problem. It just sucks cause I've missed 2 weeks of uber and thats where I personally get the majority of my DF to DIAs. Lyfts DF shits on me.

There have been account problems that cause those symptoms, but you are having it happen on Uber and Lyft, so your phone is the next most likely cause.
Its uber. I tried my old phone and also signed in on my brothers phone. No dice.

Wait, are you telling me they let you drive without you fully passing their BG check?

How long have you been driving for Uber? I think we all assumed you had been driving for some amount of time...

This is not your fault, I'm genuinely curious because this seems like a pretty big screwup on their part.

Lol, Its not like that. I've been driving almost a year. They periodically check your background through the year is what I was told. I'm squeaky clean lol.

I think they're just telling me whatever they can to get me off the phone. It doesn't quite add up.

Either way your car is deactivated. Whether they deactivated it while they reviewed your background or its some other reason, it's deactivated. If it was your background, I don't think they'd let you go online period. Your car has been disconnected/unlinked from your account. It doesn't mean anything's wrong with your vehicle either. Mine happened because I got an argument with online support period a retaliation type of thing.

not saying this is your case but there have been instances where drivers were allowed to drive for two or three years. Then for whatever reason Uber deactivated them for something on the record that was there the whole time
