Who else noticed no orders or is it just me?

As soon as I decline an order or cancel an order. I get penalised for one hour. Last night I declined a 5 miles away request. I lost one hour and the next order I cancelled when I got to restaurant because they had 4 big orders and told me it will be half an hour wait. I cancelled it and waited 30 minutes no ping. I switched off and went home

It's so random, I think it mostly depends on how many drivers are out and/or how busy it actually is (nobody really knows). I also think many drivers just do this part time and when the sign on incentives are offered to new drivers like the $250 for 10 deliveries everyone and his/her mother signs up does the 10 deliveries and bails. I went out today on Weds. and made out very well (no, I will not post my earnings) but I'll probably go out tomorrow and it'll be crickets because that's just the way it goes.

Before covid in San Francisco when UE was giving boosts they were poaching every others apps drivers by sending an SMS and the infamous throttle would occur for the OGs

I was actually earning more before and after lunch/diner boosts
At first I blamed myself but later I was asking and of course no one shows their phones earnings screen but I showed a few mine and got the nod
It is a shame cus there is so much potential that these platforms are not seeing

To me, that’s really bizarre. There’s something definitely going on, I don’t quite understand it myself. The only thing I can think of, is there some type of discrepancy of how Uber is handling things with the divvying between Postmates and Uber with pings. That, or their popularity is completely falling off.

When PM first integrated here it picked things up. Now it's slowwww and the change happened pretty fast. I bet there was a bit of a delay getting the PM drivers integrated. Now that they are integrated its very slow. Or they just hired a bunch of new drivers. Or they stopped giving customers free delivers. We will never really know. It's just noticeably slower and I've had to resort to rideshare at the beginning of my shift and end. In the heart of the dinner rush I'm usually mostly doing eats. For the last year I've been doing UE almost exclusively (and I was a happy employee). That ended about 10 days ago. Anyone with a car can do deliveries. At least on RS there is a minimum requirement for vehicle standards.

At first the PM pings were superior in pay. I'm sure this will be "corrected" soon to match the lower paying UE.
