Grubhub CEO Adam DeWitt to leave firm as owner searches for a buyer

Adam DeWitt, who has been with Grubhub 11 years, including two as chief executive, will leave May 1, to be replaced by an executive with Canada’s SkipTheDishes.

I think many agree that GH is borderline gone. In my market, so is UE (but it’ll pick up in the summer).

They DO have a much smaller customer base. BUT...

A few days ago I accepted a $11, low miles from GH. As I was heading out, I accepted a $18 job, fairly low miles, the GH routing was perfect. Just after I delivered the first one, I accepted a $23 offer, high miles over the state line (but 90% interstate.) These 3 dels took me under 50 minutes.

I have never received anything this good from UE or DD.

In fairness, while there I did accept a $15 job from UE (the only co. that still seamlessly makes offers when I've gone over the county or state line) that took me back halfway home.

DearDouche was never even in the picture. Late last night, after I rejected 14 (!!!) of their crap offers, I did an easy GH for $18 just before going home. The best similar offer I got from DD paid $9.75...

GH is picking up in my area with mostly decent higher payouts. DD seems like it is on its way out with trash offers non stop… especially with DD bundling non tippers.
