Seems LAX police has almost completely kicked all the Uber drivers into the concentration pen they have. I usually only take people to the airport, I dont like trying to pick up a ride there, but the streets around the holding pen look empty and I see LAX pd ticketing and yelling on their loud speakers at Uber drivers. I dont know why people work LAX, sooner or later everyone who works there will get a ticket, even if its not for a moving violation.

One of my riders said his last Uber driver got a $1000 ticket at LAX!!
Good! This isn't rocket science! You have rules to follow at LAX, if you don't like them, stay the hell away!

How difficult is it to use ONE trade dress in the correct spots? Lyft even puts a diagram on the back of their permits! The ants that buy their own Lyft/uber logos online just shows there's a market for stupid!

Is it really hard to call a rider and make sure they're ready at whatever sign before you head in? On my last pickup at C the cops had to get out there to keep the ants moving. I see so many Lyft ants just sitting in their car waiting for their pax.

Agree, the ants could do more but LAX is still a cluster and LAX cops are the dregs of the LA police force.

The big plan to close the horseshoe to traffic and make a the pickups on century should help. Only a few years away....

How are you doing with Black/ SUV at LAX. Many 2 hour time outs or pretty good?

Actually got a few pings lately.

The people mover plan does not include shutting the horseshoe to traffic - just getting rid of the Vicksburg bridge and getting rid of all the shuttles.

And lets not forget the lyft ants racing over there to the jammed terminals at base while uber is surging at 2.5x. Can't fix stupid.

Good. Keeps the ant population under control.

Makes me love the tcp lot even more. The potties are slightly cleaner and not in the path of the breeze. I can actually roll my windows down there unlike the pen which has that lovely scent of piss and cig smoke
Being TCP helps keep the risk of ticket down, but doesnt eliminate it. Wait until you have a pax run at you into the street on a red curb at terminal and LAX cop who has to fill Taxi paid quota for the month sees it. Sooner or later your going to get hit at LAX, although TCP helps a lot in avoiding it.

It doesn't make sense. If there are no signs prohibiting parking on those side streets, what's the problem? If they want to funnel all the drivers to the pig pen, why have the assignment area as big as it is? It couldn't be that they want to have as many drivers in queue as possible, but still be able to control you being online, could it?

They want everyone in their concertration camp. Boundaries are from way back, LAX and local businesses dont want any rideshare or livery anywhere around them, that is why the police are in full force.

It's not illegal to park in a legal parking area, or in a public street. If they don't want us around there, they should notify us, and Uber and Lyft should decrease the assignment area to just the pig pen. Of course they won't do it because it'll decrease the number of available drivers and increase surge. They want to have their cake and eat it too.

This. Only problem is LAX is legally its own entity within City of Los Angeles AND TOS says you can't be within LAX economic zone with app on OR off unless you are heading into the pen or leaving the area. So unless you remove all your signage they can give you tickets for just being there unless you are moving. And we all know driving around in circles for hours won't increase your profitability. Also if they catch you actually doing that then they can add a cruising ticket on top.
