Any opinions or experiences with dropoffs at LAX would be appreciated. Will keep sending same question to support to see if they keep coming back with the same answer. Have very little faith in Uber CSRs so will basically be polling them. :)

I wouldnt trust Fuber support over a dime... One reason being they absolutely dont know anything given the fact that is most likely an Idian guy whom doesn't speak English.

And two: Fuber really dosent give a rats arse about you.

Dont deliver anyone to LAX with out a permit.

They probably say yes because they'll pay your fine. Do you want to go through the headache of getting your car back? Because they might impound it also

Does anyone EVER had police stops you at LAX in order to check permit? Did you believe that police at LAX have a barcode scanner to verify your permit? All this permit is a total BS for obedient people. All LAX people at departure level consistently busy to fight with gridlock. They are really don't care if you have permit or not, does your permit faked, or it is simple printout of sample. If your pax not screaming HELP, HELP, no one from official will turn to your side.

Yes, more then once and yes again on barcode scanner too.
They don't even need a scanner as your license plate clearly shows on placard .

You should have your placard at all times when on LAX property. If not, you risk a possible $1000 fine and/or car impound.

Be careful and work on getting your permit or run the risk. I went to the office, took the test, got an email with temp to print within a week. Just got the real one 3 weeks later in the mail. I think I was pretty lucky to not have any issues getting it, it's been a nightmare for some.

This quote comes from Uber LAX guidelines: https://www.uber.com/los-angeles-drivers/driver-tips/lax/

'Per LAX regulations, all rideshare partners must display the Uber "U" trade dress and airport vehicle permit in their windshield while on LAX property. You are not permitted to display the trade dress of any other Transportation Network Company (TNC) while dropping off or picking up riders using Uber. Additionally, please do not display a TNC trade dress or LAX airport permit when on a personal trip to the airport.'
