LAPD warns rideshare drivers about passengers trying to steal from their bank accounts
The Los Angeles Police Department is warning rideshare drivers about a scam in which passengers try to steal from their bank accounts.
Why I have a second phone. Also any banking app that doesn’t ask for a password or fingerprint upon opening or even switching from apps, is a security issue.
Giving pax your main phone is stupid, they could enable developer mode or jailbreak it and install malware.
Also don't keep the bulk of your funds in any machine, internet or online accounts, keep the majority safe in a non-overdraft savings account only accessible in person. Only use online etc., what your comfortable losing or can wait months or years for it to be reimbursed.
Practice compartmentalized security. Don't leave all your eggs in one basket.
