It is the fact that no one is chasing the quest or the ctbs any more .
Chasing those promotions forces drivers to stay on one app. With no quest or promotion, drivers turn on both apps and accept the most convenient. This causes drivers to be available on both platforms and now instead of having 10 drivers 5 on each platform, now in one area we have 20 drivers with 10 on two platforms.
God help us, we are secrewed

I dont think it's that complex.
I think they are charging it and pocketing it, or suppressing it so more riders will use.
Or maybe people are actually getting fed up with ubercon

My guess:

U/L is still surging.

Before, drivers and riders were incentivized.

Now it seems the surge/Primetime will be used to fund RIDER incentives.

Btw, hardly no one ever comments on how much RIDERS cost.

Do they?

I'm sure the surge pricing still there for riders. The drivers just not getting any of it.
Untrue .. ive checked over and over to see if that is happening and it is not..
Just way too many drivers on two apps.. same drivers and same spots.. for the surge to activate demand has to exceed supply..
For 10 drivers in the past in the same area is an equivalent to 5 drivers on each platform.
Now, the same 10 drivers have converted to 20 drivers instead of 5 drivers since each driver is opening both apps

Demand peaked a long time ago, yet more ants get added to the mix every week. That’s the only way they can get away with capping earnings the way they have been. If every driver refused to drive for peanuts ie accept a ride in the rain @ base... the payouts would increase. No rides = no money for these companies. Maybe someday the ant pop will figure out that we run this machine.
