I actually had more Lyft rides today than Uber which is weird. It was a pretty standard morning just under $20.00 an hour gross. I'm averaging about 15% tips on Uber...and those that say they are gonna tip on the App usually don't. I worked hard to mention to the passengers about rating drivers in hopes they make it to the tip feature, last week about 50% rated me and my tip percentage was still at 15%-17%. Working on another angle this week, it that don't work I'm getting breast implants!

DF worked on uber Saturday for a ride each way from North Park to downtown, bookending a personal errand run; tomorrow I plan on putting in five to six hours with both apps on.

It's been a good weekend for sure. It's definitely not the Labor Day weekends of past but nothing in rideshare seems to be as good as it was a year ago and certainly not as good as it was 2 or 3 years ago. Can't complain about this weekend though the request have been very steady and with some of the quests and promotions I hit it will end up being a good weekend. About to go out soon to get that $30 for 15 rides from uber.

I didn't drive all last week, first time unless I'm out of town. Been checking app., white out most of the time. Was going to drive today but might do my other gig instead. Hard to get motivated without surge to compensate sand and drunks.

Friday did very well $30.00 per hr before gas used DF from the burbs into PB. Caught 4 surge freeway rides. Then caught a long 1.9x pool out of PB. Saturday was a total bust about $12.00 per hr before gas. PB could have been surging all morning day and night but stoooopid ants keep their apps on even when surge starts not only is there too many ants they are soooo stooopid. Average Sunday morning walk of shame decent freeway rides out of PB. Once again could have been much better but the idiots all had their apps on even at 9 am. Little surge might start and they would drive with apps on towards 1.3x. True idiots, the result of quest
FYI I drove the creative director for marketing Yahoo Fantasy Football. We talked rents in SF, tech and crypto currencies. He said all the movers and shakers in big tech are investing heavily in crypto currencies and AI.

Glad you did good last week, White out today and long ride notification not working we'll I'm reading. No go for me, just grabbed a $70 shift for my other gig. Gas prices over $3 per gallon, impossible to make $1 per mile net right now.

^^^^^^ yes indeed . I read an article by the rideshare guy crew. They said Surge will be gone soon replaced with algorithms that make for one long continuous ride with stacked pings. That makes rideshare driving a 10.00 per hr net gig after gas and hard cost expenses. ( before car value depreciation) This is where management wants it to go. I had 5 stacked pings Saturday night. Surge gone, stacked pings and quest are in.

We can battle that situation by hitting "stop new requests" after accepting any given ping.

That would not be too bad if every day was continuous stacked rides. We're lucky if that happens for a bit weekends or busy periods.
There's far too many drivers for that to be a future reality in any city. It may be a gleam in some Uber manager's eyes but they don't get out into real life much.
Friday/Saturday about $200 in 7 hours.
Saturday/Sunday I cleared $300 in 12 hours.
Sunday/Monday $290 in 11. 5 hours.
Got the $90 bonus too, so $880 and another $100 this afternoon for about 3 hours of driving.
$980 for about 34 hours. Best weekend to date except for a $380 Sunday night a month ago.

that's exceptional for Uber X ! in 5 months I have only had just a few times I came close to $30.00 per hr. (surge combined with freeway rides) Was that X or XL?
I have looked many times for that option I had it months ago now seems to be gone.
did you do all that working the airport? Or are you a brand new driver?

Screenshots to validate these lofty figures are the rule of the jungle. How many miles driven and how many rides are the barometer of success. Did you get a lot of surge? Average driver is lucky to pump out 20 paid miles per hour. Your doing 25 with these figures on 4 straight days. Congratulations on a huge weekend but when you throw out big figures, you're expected to validate to cement your credibility here.

The one im eating right now is meat lovers with chicken and jalepinos also. . .
Hot even when you pull the peppees off.
$103.00 again tonight.
Weird number to happen so often ( about 5 times)
That is not worth doing.
Even if you were driving Ubers car burning Ubers gas.

I don't really see the need for a screen shot here. No need to see, no need to believe either if you don't want to.
The numbers, while large, are not that far out of whack. He stated it was his best weekend ever. Look at the hours that he worked. If he positioned himself properly he could have caught the after the races surge and then arrive in PB with plenty of time to take advantage of the bar close surge. There was plenty of surging in both those places at those times (I have an app for that).
You're basically calling the man a liar without a solid basis for doing so other than your own personal experience.
You don't know where he lives which in many cases can be a very big advantage to a driver. You don't know his honeyholes or his preferred strategy. Maybe he follows Dan's calender and hits them all, maybe he's had good luck at the races on a consistent basis, maybe he's TK's secret love child and he gets all the best rides.
It's been my experience that often a rookie will come on to the field of life and kick butt on the veterans because he really doesn't know what he's doing but he's doing it with enthusiasm. Then the jaded vets come along to tell him he's doing it wrong and his performance comes down to their levels because, you know, the vets know best.
I'd much rather have him come in and contribute on a regular basis then lose him because you don't like his numbers for one weekend. His numbers are totally unimportant for me except for drawing my attention to what he says going forward. If he exaggerated, fine. If he lied that's his problem, it'll come out later in future statements. If I pick up tidbits of useful knowledge that I can put to good use, his continued presence here is well worth it.
Screen shots about money seriously get my goat. Many of you make more money than I do simply because of the hours I choose to work. I don't care, I'm not sacrificing lifestyle for money anymore. Just the same, I would seriously give you a big Eff You if you asked me for a money screen shot.
You don't need money screen shots for anything really. With your experience you should be able to discern fact from fiction. Your problem is that you often make the wrong conclusion way too quick due to a lack of data. He was, in all probability, not the only driver that had a great weekend. Remember that there's a ton of drivers that don't come to this forum that may do things in places way different from what we do. That there's more then one way to skin a cat.
Gotta go. Started my car this AM and one of my headlights was out. Long day ahead.

I take it these were night to early morning driving? How was the surge during that time and by chance did you drive both platforms?
Overall a very good night considering the normal amounts seen in the area. This is how the weekends always were about a year or so ago. Made driving fun and worth the time. Those days are long gone unless they stop hiring the new drivers and purge the bad ones.
