Can anyone confirm if the "Stop new requests" Trick to turn pool rides into X rides works anymore?
I tried doing it right when I accept the ping, 5 minutes into the ping, right after picking up the pax....nothing..
I might be crazy but I swear this worked a few times when I learned up this 3-4 back.

didnt take any! Guess I am going to be kicked out of the cess pool! Lol!
Why not just accept them and don't pick them up, wait 2 minutes and cancel their request you would've got $4 for each cancellation and without driving 6 X $4 = $24 for less than an hour of non driving is good for me.
Trust me it works, I know stuff that a lot of people in this forum wouldn't understand but I know, believe me.

I think you still get the UberFOOL rate.

Do you drive to destination then cancel? Don't you get high cancelations? How do you get cancelation fee if you don't drive to destination??

You drive to the corner of destination click on arrive or pass their house to the other corner and wait 2 minutes before cancelling then wait in that area or behind their house and they will request again and you have to accept again and start the timer again and wait another 2 minutes back in the days Uber use to send emails about it now they don't you can make some money with out driving people across town for a measly $1.99 and if they don't pay you right away don't sweat it, just wait until next day and ask them why you were not paid and they will pay you all the missing cancellation fees.

Yes I do high cancellations but you make that back up by accepting all the X or eats given to you.
The only thing that I loved about UberFOOL is the advantage on cancellation. $2.50/min compared to $1/min. I am a Cancellation Champion. Not so much now, that Uber no longer imposes the acceptance rating rule on drivers anymore. UberFOOLs. If the same pax requests again, you can let it go. I will cancel on you in a heartbeat. Cancellations, super aggressive with FOOLs. For X pax, the ride sometimes would be a decent trip, especially from a hotel or whatever.

Nothing makes me happier than driving off at 4:30 and hitting rider no show 30 seconds later, even if I see them coming lol.

Whenever I am in Brickell I think I average $24-40 in cancellation fees, it is full of people who take 5 mins to come down for a min fare, and nothing makes me happier to get the cancellation fee on them.

Until they make it where you actually make more money waiting for them and take them, by raising the min fare, the most profitable option is actually cancelling people in Brickell when they take 4+mins which a lot of them do.

I think I wait up to 10 mins for a LUX, with the exception of South Beach, 5 mins cancel move on.

I used to aggressively cancel without second thought. Now I'm a little more selective about who I cancel on. Sometimes you wait to see if they took so long because they have quite a bit of luggage and you're 30-40 miles away from the airport on a surge. Just like how I used to tap the screen to accept a ping by reflex when I first started, I now go against my reflex sometimes when getting ready to cancel. That's probably why they are always wanting more drivers. New drivers will accept a ping by reflex, that flashing light and loud ping triggers the reflex to touch the screen, similar to snoozing or silencing your phone alarm.

I agree with you it sucks when you click on a trip and it was a long ride and i cancellef it lol. But i was talking about Brickell. 90% of the time they are going under 2 miles away at least the times i drive there at night. Majority of brickell who live there are never waiting outside

I take them all day long, leave them to me so I can no-show them and collect that sweet cancellation fee.
SAVAGE lol

Doesn't this count against you cancellation percentage though? Mines go up 2% on every cancel even "rider no show" cancels, even though I do an average of 12 trips per day.

Do you know the threshold for cancellation percentage? Also has anyone here ever been deactivated for too high a cancellation rate?
