That might be reflective of you for various reasons assuming it is not manipulated. It is definitely not the median.

The information in the first post is accurate.

I can also compare other driver information, credit information, hotel registrations, travel site volume, taxis and Lyft. We see a lot of empty cars. Many others here are making the same statements that they are not busy.

GD is driving uberX and pulling in $40+/hr. It can be done. Dude already has 80 rides, MP also does 80 rides in 2 days.

I don't do anything special. Especially this week since i am in a getaround while my van is in the shop. So i am just on uber. But i want to prove again that you can make a good amount of money on one platform if you work smart and hard. So getaround costs 71 for 14 hours, but you get free gas. So the net was 780 after expense for 21 hours.... so even after expense was 37 an hour.

You are taking pools in a van? Are you driving X or XL or a combination of both. If you drive the next 2 days, no promotion since you already got it, then your hourly comes down to about $34.00 before expenses. So after expenses you are not even at $30/hr. nothing to brag about! In the meantime you are taking on enormous risks by being in the car 12 hours/day. Did you post your pat stub when you had a regular day job? Or was that confidentila as it should be?

Let's see...on my day job I make $38.00/hr. to that you can add another $1.50 hr. for my 401 k, add another $4.00/hr. for medical insurance, add another $3.00 hr. for my employer's kick-in on SS/Medicare. We are looking at about $48/hr. with no expenses. Then add in my two weeks PAID vacation and holidays and you may see that driving really isn't a dream job. Although, I admit it is decent money for how easy it is with no application process or any real qualifications/skills needed.
He doesn't need to work for the next 2 days.

It's NOT $40/hr. if he drives the next 2 days there will be no additional promotion paid. So his hourly will come down to about $34 before expenses so in reality it's not even $30/hr. which ain't much for SF!

So you usually drive XL? $50/hour W-2 is about $70/hour on Uber so there is NO WAY this adds up. Besides, you still have to put in 12 hours/day so I don't really see where the freedom is?

You have a lot more expenses on uber than you can deduct in w-2... now real expenses were low. Less than 14k.... i can't dedcut 50k of income with w-2.... and yes i work more hours, but its when and how i want. I also am not driving an hour or 45 mins to and from work unpaid because of nasty 680 traffic.

Since the bonus is nailed he can just cherry pick on high boost Wednesday and surge Thursday. This screenshot is from Thursday, May 3rd. 3 trips in a bit more than 3 hours. $137+. Since they're freeway miles cost is roughly 2 gallons of gas. Do the math. And the last trip dropped me off at the Fremont BART station, a quick 20 miles from home at 1am.

Good thing you're not billing hours at a law firm...you would bankrupt the joint in no time. 9:56 to 1:01 am is 3 hours and 5 minutes? No? Good thing you're not an accountant or tax specialist! lol
