I was met with scorn and rebuke for making such an outlandish proposal but yet Uber drivers are worse off 2 years later. Uber could fix this issue by raising the rate 30% nationwide. Not only would it help drivers but it still would be cheaper than cabs.

Uber cuts driver rates to afford all the paid shills to psychologically convince you your not worth a liveable wage and that pay cuts are ok and normal. Uber is relying on its drivers to have a herd mentality. Independent thinkers are frowned upon. They want a hive minded swarm of flying cockroaches.
