This link http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ddress-saved-driver-named-Xavier.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 and story was linked to in our Brisbane weekly update.

Daily Mail reports that an Uber driver-partner named Xavier has become a hero of the club scene in Melbourne, Australia after Patrick Neff, a drunken customer, requested a ride but accidentally set his pickup address as the location at which he wanted to be dropped off. Xavier, instead of abandoning the trip, went to the correct address and picked up the inebriated rider, earning "a measly $6 for the late-night fare" and Neff's praises.

Not really sure this is the sort of thing Uber should be bragging about to their partners. Uber even left in the quote from the article that described the fare as "measly". Apparently the driver got sent 10 mins in the wrong direction, so that makes 20 mins to get to the pick up point, and then take the pax home - all for $4.80 for probably 30 minutes work and probably $1-$2 worth of petrol. Working late night, picking up drunk people for less than $8/hr - it's nice work if you can get it

"Xavier has become a hero of the club scene"

Just speculatin' on a hypothesis here... but I just wonder...

I hear some Uber folk have a bit of a side-line running...

I hear it pays a whole better than our UberX earnings.

It's GST-free too... though not always XTC-free...

are ya with me people? Catchin' my drift? :p

Not that I'd know anything about all that... HA!

Running d##g errands would be only way to make Uber pay. High risk......
Actually, just by coincidence (or maybe not by coincidence!)
I was just sent a 'code of conduct' email with link from Uber.

I hope they didn't take the whole 'drug dealer' thing too seriously...
IT WAS A JOKE JOYCE! :p Looks like it's from the USA... ;)
