Just curious if destination filter is working for others in the GTA, as I never get a ping with it.
Tried setting exact address, or even going as broad as entering only Brampton, ON as destination, while in downtown, with no luck.
Am I missing something??

Sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't. Today I got two trips from downtown to North York.

The feature works.
The thing it can't do for you is manufacture rides that don't exist.
If there aren't any riders matching the criteria of your current position, and entered destination, you're not going to get any pings.
Pretty simple.

You're a sailboat. Traffic flow is the wind. If the wind aint blowing in the direction you want this feature isnt going to work well at all.

It works for me atleast 7 of 10 times I used . I remember reading a post with 2 important tips which I followed. 1) use side roads not highways while heading to the entered destination and 2 ) use an address which is beyond the desired destination maybe 10 kms. Max .it works most of the time for me.

It woks for me most of the time. I like this new feature also I like when you can put yourself off like while delivering a pax. The app improved a lot and made our lives a little easier

Great, that's what I needed to hear. So, it works.
I understand that if there's no demand there will be no match.
Now do you put an exact address, or just Markham/Scarborough/Mississauga ?

The feature won't guarantee a ride all the way to your destination. If there is one available it may be short, long or just the pickup may be in the direction you are headed. Certain times of day increases the probability. Address or city is irrelevant, it is GPS based. You still need to be the closest available driver.

You don't have to be the closest driver. That's why they limit it to use twice per day. I was in the west end during morning rush heading east to Scarborough using it and got a ping for york mills ttc station. Eta 10 minutes. I fired up the riders app and saw at least 3 cars right there. Pax was upset as well. Phoned after 7 minutes asking when I'll be there. I think if the ping is within around 10 minutes you're given priority over other drivers.

I do it from downtown to Pickering. Usually will get a ping to DVP/Finch then drive Shepard a bit towards east and will get a second ping from West Scarborough to East Scarborough then the night is done.

Toronto doesn't have any incentives but some other cities have incentives like do 50 rides get $100 bonus for example. So this ride wouldn't count towards that 50 rides.

Agreed, but you know Uber, f****** over "partners" every chance they get.

It worked.i was in downtown and set the destination to Oakville. Got a ride from financial district to oakville GO within 30s.
