well howard county and anne arundel county part of laurel is Greater MARYLAND, and there's not a lot of drivers there, however of course less pings
Its the PG county part of Laurel that's in the DC market and still isnt that many drivers near the boundary that separates DC/greater Maryland .

I caught an UBer from best buy on route 1 laurel and it showed 20min away time was the nearest Uber, I couldnt believe it. I cancelled twice, but he was always the one getting the ping so I finally accepted it. He took about 25min,i called him(because he was taking an awful route to get to me) and he kept asking was I sure i still wanted a ride (swear he had to be driving the slowest driver) and i told him same thing, yeah, u appear to be the closet

Is it worth going out to laurel and Forestville and surrounding areas for rides?
The further you go out from DC, the less pings there are in general
however, from what ive witnessed, the further out the ping, the farther the pax normally seem to go
with the center of DC being the epicenter where pax love to go 1-2miles

Not sure what your looking at but when I log into the passenger app I the morning I easily count 20 plus drivers in sorhern Howard county and northern laurel. My trip to the airport this morning I had 6 drivers within a mile of my house and was picked up in 3 minutes .

GrEater Maryland is swamped with drivers.

Being that i work greater Maryland often, I have to dispute that
swamped with drivers? no
less pings than DC market? for sure

only place ive seen 6 cars lumped up in a 1mile area in greater Maryland is Colombia town center, every blue moon annapolis downtown by the water, and of course Ocean City
please screenshot the next time you see 6 cars that close together

but remember the laurel thats in greater Maryland is very close to the laurel thats in dc market obviously, which again of course has lots of drivers. You definately wont find any 6 car lump situation throughout the rest of the spreadout greater Maryland area
