Hello Folks,

Uber Sacked me in January 2018. My mistake was while doing Uber pool job I accepted cash from a passenger who was elderly lady in need of urgent priority drop off . The other passenger in the car complained to Uber and I got sacked. This incident was also reported to TFL and I received a written warning from TFL. Thankfully My license continued and was Renewed in Jan 2020 and also just received my Renewed License in Jan 2023.

In past 5 years I have worked for several pco operators and currently working for Bolt and free now.

Since Uber has started paying holiday pay and tops up earnings by 12% it Has become economically viable than other apps. When I speak to Uber drivers they all tell me they are making easily £250 in ten hours shift on weekends. On bolt and free now combined I make £200 in same shift.

I have been reading Uber is now recruiting again. Is it worth appealing now for them to look at it again and consider giving me another chance . The TfL has given me a chance so possibly Uber could do so too .

Genuine Advice will be much appreciated.

holiday pay calculation should be read as %8 as you get holiday pay after expenses. I personally dont feel any ease making 250 comparison to the other apps. I work for Uber because I hate Bolt, If I get enough requests from Free Now, then I would work fro them more. Ofcourse you try and see and let us know the result , however ; if rejected and If you are doing ok with others, I can not see any reason to cry. Good luck :)

TFL don’t take kindly to unlicensed bookings or touting

The fact your peers are suggesting using a different email / mobile just about sums up the industry
