Is it only me or did anybody else notice how much lower/shittier the rides have become ??

Not sure if this happened to others but my rides are now like $10 for 20min, $3.40 for 9 min and so on, and then an airport ride which was priced $23 but when finished I got $18.50 !!

The new management already cut 26% of the workforce (1200 fired) and now the CEO (David Risher)wants to save $$$’s on the back of the drivers against what he said that drivers will get better pay ??

are we working for Amazon now ??

Somebody pass me the crackpipe, but no drivers no rides, I already had many complaints of people who can’t get rides no more.

This ain’t working for the company, only the most desperate drivers will stay on the road, and that’s probably the new strategy.

OMG what is happening with Lyft ??

Lyft sucked before, now they suck even more... I have learned a few things that I use Lyft for... I'll toss out two of them...

I live 52 minutes from the busy place in my area. I run Lyft on the way there on the off chance that it pings me from far away for a trip that's in the area I'm trying to go to. Usually good for $14-16 extra dollars to go to the place I was already going to run Uber.

Also, when I'm in my busy place... If I get a trip that goes 15 minutes away, I flip on Lyft on the off chance that I get a trip taking me back to the middle of where I want to be. Which sometimes gets me paid for the return trip.

So I abuse them for whatever I can but I'm not taking their garbage rides in town unless Uber is completely dead. Even then I'm more likely to head home.

Just checked my AR on Lyft... its 15%. Holy shit I better start declining more. I like it around 5% or less. I was happiest at about 0-1%.

LOL F LYFT. use them like the side bizzzich they are

No joke. About a month ago during Lyft's cash grab. Atlanta Lux ride - 22 miles & 30 min to AP. Used to gross $55-60.. Pax paid $116. I made $35. 71% take.. Horrah

It's 100% shit, now. I was at a major music event in Napa today, tens of thousands. And Lyft was mostly just offering standard fares, almost no bonuses, or just tiny one like $1.50 bonus.

It's seems like you can only make about $18/hr max, and that's before driver inputs. Lyft is a crap platform now.
Because they still more money. Some days on the holidays and the events they let these people that are payment premium money I'll give you a good example Taylor Swift concert that I don't work they're paying $1,000 a ticket minimum here last week. Food premium Hotel 500 nt sold out. Merchandise through the roof. A normal ride home after the event to the local hotel would be minimum $30 they're expecting you to do it for 10 and guess what these dumb s**** do it the the worst part is Tuesday morning going to work regular Rider that is Uber's bread and butter will get slammed at a 3X when airport Travelers are paying base price and no wonder why they're not turning a profit. If you are stockholder on Memorial Day weekend would you not expect your company to have a higher price for the weekend the passengers expected and they're writing for base rates they're tickled pink. But what happens is they don't turn a profit this is why I like guys like Dara the CEO needed to be fired a long time ago. His plan for the future is just the lower the cost of the drivers and take more percentage. Lift is on life support .
The CEO is doing things with mirrors talking about AI food delivery meanwhile his burn rate of drivers is reaching an all-time high you got Tesla Runners here paying $500 a week with charging that have to work 7 days a week.

They are both absolute garbage. They have never made a profit and Lyft is in the dumpster. I was MK taking a trip to Universal and the Lyft pick up had at least people trying to get a Lyft. Why would I drive for a company, that steals money from me and has garbage pax. Thats Lyft.

All I can say is this :

A ship doesn’t sink because of the water around it (drivers, employees)
but because of the water in it (CEOs , president, management)

Ever since the upfront pricing came the offers have varied wildly. I live 20 miles away from downtown on the other side of o'hare airport. When my shift is over at 4-5am the airport rides start. I have literally gotten 3 requests in the same minute 17 25 & $30. Choosing your trips carefully is more important now than ever. I dont look at how much per mile I look at how much per hour as long as I'm not going somewhere I dont want to go $30,$45 and $60 are acceptable numbers. Choosing your trips carefully is very important...

What I notice in my area is that most flat rate Lyft rides (no surge or boost bonus) will pay a few cents above $1 per mile. It's always that way no matter how far you have to drive to the pickup. For example, it it's a 7 mile ride with 1 mile to the pickup, the payment will be something like $8.15. Another ride that's going 1.5 miles with a 5 mile pickup, will pay $6.52.

It looks like Lyft's algorithm will, before bonuses, pay the driver around $1 per mile then keep the rest for the company. This is why Lyft's percentage payout to the drivers varies so widely.
Pay has gone down a good 25% at best here in SLC in the last few months as well. With both Lyft and Uber.
