I dropped a couple off last night and did see the tiny area in the yellow lot for Uber (one very small sign indicates it - the lot is on Main just a bit north of the main yellow lot and just south of McKee). It's a very small gated off spot that probably can handle 30 cars or so and allows you to turn around and then just exit right back onto Main as you leave.
My guess is dropping off people is wherever you can get them to without someone telling us otherwise? But I'm more curious about picking up people as I didn't stick around when people were getting out. That is likely to be a typical NRG post-event mess.
BTW, it's also a decent walk away from the stadium or fairgrounds although there are plenty of shuttles moving people around within the whole setup.
