The U.S. Internal Revenue Service said on Friday it would delay a new rule requiring more extensive reporting by gig workers and others who are paid through third party apps, after complaints the rule was too onerous.

Well for as much as I disagree with a fair amount of this administrations decisions, I'll give them credit for reading the room on this one.
I mean if you're going to send $50 billion + to fight Vlad then perhaps you could refrain from nagging me about the stereo speakers that I sold on Ebay?

It was just an example but I collect synths and modular equipment so I'm buying and selling online quite often and CERTAINLY not for a profit haha

My first keyboard was an Ensoniq EPS-16… like in 1990 or so… it was truly amazing what I could do with that puppy… 😁

Funny how this delay was announced at the same time the budget billed got passed that cut IRS funding. Almost like they needed the money to come after all those small transactions.

I didn't vote fir Biden cause I knew this would happen. Affect the little guy. I got an irs notice of overpayment for under a grand. They only target middle class and under.
