Do you update your iOS software regularly and uber app? I just update mines this morning and i think im having a hard time getting a ping, I usually get a request about every 5 to 15mins but this morning it took me an hour to get a ping!

If you see yourself on uber rider app then you are online.

Believe me, it's really slow today. Some surge in the morning but that was it.

I made experiment just now i told my wife to make a request, we are in same place and I went online then when she made a request I didn't get any ping so another driver got the ping but she cancelled right away! I think there's something wrong with the app today.

I tried to go out last night after work
1h online without a ping
Looked at the map saw 7 vehicles parked around the mall all sitting this was 7pm ish last night
Went home with a fat $0

I get ancy when waiting to long and start checking online status. Reboot phone, etc ... I just hurt myself i think by going offline but I can’t help it
I’m using the iOS beta and also works fine

Yeah if there's a queue, then I'm pretty sure you will go to the bottom of the queue if you re-connect. Just gotta be patient, and don't stick around where there's already lot's of cars. I never stick around malls if i see 7 cars already there. Just do a drive by after a drop off and move on.

A Queue? Like Taxis? Are you kidding me!! So you won't get the 1st ping if you run out of your car at the mall and stand right beside the kids standing at the mall exit who are likely requesting a ride? LoL. But I have to admit I have thought of trying that.

Lmao its all good i got pings already some are long trips and short trips, it's probably so many drivers this morning that is why I didn't get enough pings. I usually don't stay if there's a lot drivers in parking lot just drive around and you'll get ping!

Check the notification settings for uber driver in settings. Make sure it is set to alerts and not banners.

Your wife should leave you. You get free time and waste it on uber ping experiments instead of bedroom action. What a loser

I already checked this phenomenon. If you and other driver is in the same area then who is there for longer gets the ping but uber never told these things to anyone. Sometiems my friend intentionally make a request so the other driver gets the ride and he cancel lol then the next one comes to him hehe.
