Yesterday my last 3 pax's were interesting.
First one, i drove to the pickup location, there's the pax with a huge black suitcase, destination airport. I get out the car and greet. Pax returns the greeting then tells me he would like to sit with the suitcase next to him and hoped i didn't mind. I took a look at the case and it was covered with what looked like dogs hair. So i obviously encouraged him to place the suitcase in the booth that way he will have more room to relax. He still tried to sway me to allow him to have the huge case next to him . I eventually convinced him and we drove on to the airport having a strange interesting conversation all the while wondering what the heck is in that suitcase!!!. Needless to say i had to clean the booth after.
Next pax, i received a request to pickup at 201a peachtree rd ne. Drove to the approx location but could not locate the actual # so i called the pax for a precise location. He told me they were at the Westin and he saw when i drove past. Ok, so i told him the address in uber is wrong. He said, "well i put in the right address so you must be wrong"!!!. I told him i will be there in a matter of seconds. Got there , showed him the address in the app and his reaction was" Oh, ok". Never said much after, his wife on the other hand was very nice.
So i drop off the pax and immediately get a rematch. I drive to the airport pickup, Popped the booth, greeted the pax, loaded up and got back into the car. First thing the pax said to me was, "Can i drive with the windows down". I told her that we can drive with them down until we get on the freeway at which point we will need to roll up as it would be too noisy! Now she is pissed!! Never said another word, stuck her face in a book until we got to the destination. She must of overdosed on some sort of perfume as it was very strong and i was tempted to use side streets so i can roll down. But that would of meant packing a lunch basket!!
I decided to call it a day and not tempt fate!!
Today,Sunday was slow, i did a few trips to the airport, stopped by the rideshare lot as the que was short. Waited abot 35 mins before my first request. It was a long distance, 160 mins+ so i declined. The next 2 that came in was the same 160/161 mins so i declined and obviously uber forced me offline. I switched back and 25 mins later i received a pool request which i declined then the long distance 160 mins came in again. I declined and uber forced to offline at which point i decided " Home sweet home"
I called uber about the successive long distance requests and the most they could come up with was for me to log out and reboot the cell device. In the mean time my acceptance rate has reduced and for some reason my cancellation rate has increased.!!
