I've done my fair share of airport runs over the last few years. In the last month or so, I have noticed more blatant misbehavior from what look to me like TNC drivers, including a couple of lime green cabbies.

Things like:
  • Dropping off pax upstairs in the two left-side traffic lanes, not the two right-side lanes for unloading.
  • When cars are in the unloading lanes, they park sloppily, across both lanes.
  • Dropping off able-bodied pax in handicap areas.
  • Double parking in the TNC pickup area, when there is plenty of correct parking available.
What else am I missing? Almost every time I go to the airport I see some of this?

The airport seems to have cut back on enforcement people or they just don't care anymore. I remember once getting a warning to move my car right as I pulled up and went out to open my trunk: "Keep it moving, you can't park here". I had not even been there 10 seconds and I alway keep my motor running.

They are short staffed since they booted out a few security staff that weren't cutting it. However, if you take a picture of the offender you can flag almost any security officer and send the pic to them and they will follow-up with the driver. If the offense is happening inside the GTC (new garage) there typically is at least one Security officer near the pax entrance to the garage ... just flag them down.

Last night a couple of drivers got an NOV for double parking if they keep double parking while picking up pax, in a couple of weeks we won't see them anymore - problem solved (slowly, but surely).
