You WILL Make More Working for $10.50 per hour Minimum wage At McDonalds or virtually ANY other job Than Driving For Uber!!!

You WILL Gain Benefits of;

This gig is such SH*T Now. It is a Joke Job...
WAY WAY more Time wasted, Hassle and B.S. with Pool & Stacked pings...
and for All this we are rewarded with SURGE REMOVAL!!!! And Therefore CRAPPIER and Unsustainable PAY...WTF!!!!!!!

For those of you who are too lazy to click to open the link, here's the full article:

You Can Make More Working At McDonalds Than Driving For Uber

Uber drivers often trumpet the amount of money they're making with the company. Often they've only been working for a short time, but they'll regale you with stories of how great it is to work for the company.

Uber has told the Wall Street Journal that their "typical" driver collects more than $100,000 in annual gross fares, a characterization that Uber now disputes. Sometimes, the driver will be a bit more honest. But we, the public, didn't know how much Uber drivers really made. Until now.

An investigation from Buzzfeed's always-excellent tech team has revealed the typical hourly wage of an Uber driver. And - spoiler alert - driving for Uber can be less profitable than working at McDonald's.

Buzzfeed
took a look at some data provided by Uber used to calculate a fare cut that ultimately went forward in January 2016. Uber did some calculations, but Buzzfeed did their own, which were then characterized as "solid" by an Uber representative.

Here's the relevant paragraph:

"Based on these calculations, it's possible to estimate that Uber drivers in late 2015 earned approximately $13.17 per hour after expenses in the Denver market (which includes all of Colorado), $10.75 per hour after expenses in the Houston area, and $8.77 per hour after expenses in the Detroit market, less than any earnings figure previously released by the company.

To put that into perspective, McDonald's Swing Managers earn roughly $9.71 per hour, according to recruiting site Indeed, which also aggregates large amounts of job data. Other sites, Glassdoor and Payscale, offer data that paint an even harsher picture.

Though those numbers are calculated after expenses and therefore can theoretically be improved by more careful expense management and experience finding surge areas, it's still a shocking picture. Consider also that Uber offers several barriers to entry: Namely, car ownership, current license, current insurance, and the fact that you can be fired due to low ratings. At least when you're flipping burgers the customers don't get to rate you on a five star scale. And all the fries you can eat.

So be nice to your Uber driver. They earn less than you'd think.

They may have also just donated Blood for some Gas Money ... so that you entitled pax can get to your destination and rate them with some stars.

The above eyewitness report by johncarlsbad really deserves some news coverage and national attention.

it Used to be a somewhat enjoyable, cool and decent paying gig...

uber X now is nothing more than a Joke Job
next desperate step for uber ...when every current driver realizes the truth of how Much uber is taking Advantage of you;

will be widening the driver pool by lowering the age requirement to 18 y.o. or even 16 y.o. if they can sneak that one by...LOLZZZ!!

A fresh new batch of naive suckers to pick up Loads of POOP!!!

The only way UberX works now as a gig is if you can do it full-time (40 hrs+/week). Over the past three months or so, the Metals incentives - if you hit and maintain the required weekly ride targets - basically double the money and bring the rate back to what it once was. But yes, if you're only able to do part-time, it's now essentially a Joke.

Ok just to clarify ChinatownJake , in San Diego there's no metals no incentives, no boost of any kind and no surge ... Just the straight flat boot rate from Uber.

Yikes; didn't realize that it wasn't nationwide, thanks. So do you know how prevalent those kinds of incentives are elswhere?

Yes you guys in LA are one of the few lucky ones to have them... San Francisco does well also with incentives. In San Diego unfortunately there's an overflowing abundance of cheap labor and drivers are a dime a dozen, so Uber doesn't bother offering any incentives anymore.

Right Now it is "going out time" on Saturday night...In the past I Absolutely would be logged in and ubering now...And it should be busy and Surge-y now...

In fact in my neighborhood, Pax app has been saying No uber x are available for the last 15-20 minutes & it is Not SURGING...because uber Chooses to Shut Off Surge.

So I CHOOSE to be at home online sipping a Cold Beer or three!!!

Enjoy Shoveling all that stinky drunk POOP around tonight folks!

here is San Diego, with ZERO incentives, we have to do 120 POO rides per week
just to pay our exchange leases.

Surprisingly, there is an endless supply of drivers willing to do exactly that.
