Is it just me?

It seems that every time someone says they will tip in the app, there is no tip.

I have to wonder if the customer is just being an asshole and trying to get 5 stars, or if Uber is taking the tip from us.

For the last customer that did this, the next day I put in a complaint through the app and asked Uber to switch the rating to one star and explained the reason.

Not that I'm entitled to a tip, but come on, don't lie to drivers.

I'm in Saskatchewan, Canada.

Are other drivers seeing this as a norm too?

Interesting , never heard that before , maybe it’s just a Canadian thing ? Nice people , but in my dealings with them in the states , they tend not to tip 🤷‍♂️
